Young Tech Talent
Whether an entrepreneur, coder, artist or communicator, one of the region’s brightest innovators will be crowned Young Tech Talent of the Year. This category is open to anyone aged 35 and under (on 15th December 2022) who is forging their own path and leading the way in the region’s tech community.
We are looking for established tech and digital businesses which are more than three years old, have more than £1m in annual revenue and are currently experiencing or getting set for rapid growth.
You will have proven your product or service in your initial market or with key customers and now see a route to growth by expanding into new locations, launching new products and securing new customers.
This category will recognise a collaborative tech and digital project which has achieved a demonstrably positive outcome. The collaboration can be between multiple tech companies or between digital outfits and non-tech businesses, organisations, educational institutions, charities or other third sector bodies. Maybe you're a software developer which has helped a charity launch a new fundraising scheme or a professional services firm finding new ways via tech to deliver services to clients. Judges will be looking for evidence of a solid and well-run partnership, either on a one-off project or ongoing initiative.
Established Tech Business
This category is open to any business which is at least five years old and has shown exceptional performance through innovation, acquisition or new product development. Nominations are welcome from companies of any size in any tech sector.
Professional Services Tech
Technology is helping a broad range of firms across the financial, professional and business services sectors grapple with new methods of delivering traditional services, consultancy and other products to clients. You will be working with clients in any sector to help them spearhead innovation and complete tasks and projects better and more efficiently. Whether you are a start-up, SME or established corporation, we want to hear from you.
Property and Construction Tech
The property and construction sector is undergoing a transformation that is seeing digital technologies impact every part of the industry. From crunching big data, to controlling materials logistics and site security, tech is unlocking remarkable opportunities across construction, development and regeneration projects and changing the way firms operate. This category is open to any firm working on a tech project which benefits these industries.
West Midlands Woman in Tech
The digital and tech sectors might be booming but only a small percentage of people working in tech are women while there is low take up A-level computer studies among girls. This category will highlight the contribution of this region’s women in tech and tell their stories to inspire a new generation.
